Sharing success and supporting good initiatives
It is often said that ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive.’ This idea may come from an old wisdom, but it is more relevant today than ever. Because every commitment – whether large or small – has an impact that extends far beyond the moment.
At our annual company event at the end of last year, we not only celebrated a successful year for KBB, but also took on responsibility together. Funds were raised and collected internally through fun challenges, and our employees decided which organisations would benefit from these donations.
It was with great joy and pride that we were able to support the Samenkorn Kindergarten in Freital, our neighbouring Kindergarten, Kinderland Bannewitz and Frauenschutzhaus e.V. in Dresden with a financial donation. Each organisation received a share of the money to realise specific projects that will noticeably improve the lives of children:
A wish comes true
Thanks to the support, the Samenkorn Kindergarten can fulfil its long-cherished wish for a sunshade awning for the garden, so that the children can play outside carefree even on warm summer days.
New favorite outdoor spots
The Bannewitz Kindergarten is also planning to brighten up its garden. New seating will create a meeting place that enriches the children's everyday lives and provides a space for playing, learning and relaxing together outdoors.
A refuge for little souls
The Frauenschutzhaus e.V. women's shelter is using the donation for a very special project: the construction of an indoor tree house. It is intended to offer children a protected place of retreat and play – a space that conveys safety, security and a sense of normality.
With heart and responsibility
During our visits to the three institutions, we were deeply impressed by the dedication and professionalism with which all the teams work. With great attention to detail and huge personal commitment, they create environments in which children in particular feel safe and can develop freely.
For all of us at KBB, the fundraising campaign means more than just financial support. It is an expression of our appreciation for the people who work with passion, who take responsibility every day and give children protection, education and carefree happiness – often behind the scenes, but indispensable to our society.
In this way, we demonstrate that economic success and social responsibility go hand in hand. We are proud to be able to make a small contribution with our fundraising campaign and would like to thank all our colleagues at KBB who supported this initiative.
